live art auction

Join us at Two Rivers Gallery for our 10th Annual Live Art Auction. This year’s auction features an intriguing array of live and silent auction items: photographs, paintings,  mandalas, silkscreen prints and more. Indulge in some hors d’oeuvres and a glass of wine. Duel for a piece of artwork before the bang of the auctioneer’s gavel announces the winner!

Proceeds raised support our Gallery exhibitions and programs.

Tickets are $25 each, or 2 for $40. They are available at the gallery, by phone (250-614-7800) or online.

Get your tickets HERE!

THANK YOU to everyone who attended the 2017 event! Your support means we can continue to be a hub for arts & culture in Prince George! Stay tuned for the date of the 2018 auction.

If you can't attend in person, fill out our Absentee Bid Form online or by phone 250-614-7800.

We will soon be posting the 2018 works. Take a look at some of the works on the auction block last year:

Perry Melanka was born in Edmonton in 1959.

“My motivation is an art story about how I feel about people I know and respect, and the greatness of the earth we live on. I have seen the Group of Seven paintings in the Vancouver Art Gallery. Their colours burned a spot in my mind. I was in awe of the subject matter, colour and size. I could never own one so I have to paint my own. I want people to look at my art and want to go visit the great outdoors, shake the hand of the people I paint or inspire the viewer to tell their story.

My preference is oils. I love vibrant colour.

It is impossible to paint the awesomeness I feel when standing on the top of a mountain and looking over other mountain tops in the strong wind and the biting cold. Or the hidden lake that has every bug not known to mankind trying to bite you. You get a glimpse of being there through me.

I will never forget many places I have been, like one in my past, picking wild raspberries with my Grandma. With Grandma telling me to wait to eat them till we get home and have them with cream and sugar. Travelling to the place I have seen is like picking the raspberries. Painting them is like the cream and sugar.”
