The Two Rivers Gallery, (Prince George Regional Art Gallery Association) in Prince George, BC, is a not for profit society funded by the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, the Province of British Columbia through the British Columbia Arts Council, our members, private and corporate sponsors, and fund-raising events.

The Gallery hosts up to twelve exhibitions of art a year in two exhibition spaces. Emphasis is on showing work of professional artists and on bringing exhibitions of national importance to Prince George.

Two Rivers Gallery in partnership with the City of Prince George is pleased to announce the 2013 Street Banner Project. Two Rivers Gallery invites artists and designers to submit up to three entries for a juried competition for the design of banners. Up to eight successful designs will be digitally printed on high-quality outdoor banners to be displayed across the city.
The 2013 Street Banner Project aims to:
• Add colour and creative expression to the city's streets and public spaces
• Develop banner designs which reflect a positive image for Prince George
• Reflect and inspire the community
• Showcase artists and their original designs

Street banner locations may include:
• 3rd Avenue
• Civic Plaza Rd
• The Civic Plaza
• 15th Avenue (Carney to the Bypass)
• The CN Centre

Design Considerations:
• Each artist may submit up to three designs for consideration
• Each design may use a maximum of four colours (plus white) from the designated palette of six possible colours: PANTONE Yellow C, PANTONE 137C (Orange), PANTONE 192 C (Red), PANTONE 2736 C (Violet Blue), PANTONE Process Blue C, PANTONE 361 C (Green)
• Designs must be in full colour and colours should be full intensity, as natural light will filter through them, lightening them by several shades
• In some areas banners will be viewed by drive-by traffic: Simple, bold designs are best
• Areas of solid colour are recommended
• Small details and complicated designs are not effective, keep your designs bold and simple
• Banner designs will be viewed from both sides as dyes will saturate fabric
• Banners will be located throughout the city
• Banners will be up for almost 2 years in all seasons
• Use of text is discouraged
• Banners must be non-commercial in theme

The Two Rivers Gallery is seeking proposals for exhibitions of sculpture in any medium for our second floor Sculpture Court. Two Rivers Gallery is organizing a juried exhibition for 2013 which looks at the contentious issue of pipelines. Pipeline: is it a lifeline, an economic dynamo or a disaster waiting to happen. Will it revitalise the province or does it pose an unacceptable risk to the environment? Is it a good initiative, a bad one or, rather than a black and white issue, is it simply grey. The pipeline is one of the most polarising topics of conversation and it has expanded to include critiques around environmental policy, review processes and accusations of radicalism. Regardless of whether you are an artist whose work expresses a supportive, critical or neutral perspective,
we invite you to respond to this call for submissions with up to six artworks produced within the last three years. Artists are invited to submit photographs or digital images of up to six artworks for the exhibition. Artists selected for the exhibition will receive an artist's fee.
