April 22 to May 13, 1990
Because the primary purpose of Earth Day is to raise awareness of environmental issues, this is an exhibition that relates to us all.
We invited students to make two-dimensional art works on a wilderness theme – an especially appropriate theme for us here in the north. The works could be any size or media and they were encouraged to stress the positive aspects. Students were encouraged to consider the importance of wilderness areas and how vital it is to protect and preserve them.
This was not a competition, but an exhibition of the students’ personal response to the theme. Everything submitted was displayed.
