October 8 to November 15, 1998
The Prince George Art Gallery is pleased to present a juried regional sculpture exhibition, which features the works of five local and regional artists. Sculpture encompasses a wide variety of traditions, methods, and vocabulary; from carving to assembling; realism to abstraction; miniscule to over-life-size. Sculpture also has a long history: some of the oldest sculptures in existence are small talisman objects depicting fertility figures, like the Venus of Willendorf.
In this exhibition we see a wide variety of approaches and interests.
