From the Outer Edges is a collection of landscape paintings by Jane Isakson from Whitehorse, Yukon. The three outer edges of Canada's west, north and east coasts are represented by paintings of three of Canada's exterior edges. Many are based on the artist's experience of three remote National Parks, Gwaii Haanas in Haida Gwaii, Ivvavik in Yukon, and Gros Morne in Newfoundland. By emphasizing forms and geometric patterns in the landscape, Isakson implies a sense of underlying order and potential hidden meaning in nature.
