2018 Summer Creativity Camps

Our Creativity Camps offer fun activities for kids entering grades 1 - 8. The weeks that feature 'Intense Art' activities are for kids 9 - 13.

Camp Hours:  9am - 4:30pm (programmed activities:  9:15am - 4pm)

Fee: $200 | Members receive a 10% discount | sibling discount available (see below)

Short Week Fee: $160

  • July 9 – 13: Mixed Media Mash-Up  Join us for a week of artistic creation using a variety of materials and methods! Campers will have the opportunity to cut, paste, paint, draw, and so much more. Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making and art and playing outside.
  • July 16 – 20: Art & Nature Let’s get inspired by Mother Nature! Our art activities will encourage campers to stop and smell the roses during outdoor excursions as well as reflect on our footprint on the planet. Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside.
  • July 23 – 27: Drawing & Painting Watercolour, pencils, crayons, pastels, markers, oh my! Campers will learn and explore painting and drawing techniques such as colour mixing and doodling. Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside
  • July 23 – 27: 2-Dimensional Explorations (ages 9 – 13) This week, we will be exploring all the incredible art we can create on a 2D surface. Campers will learn about shading and creating depth in their drawings and paintings. Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside.
  • July 30 – Aug 3: Sculpture Mania Calling all lego builders, blanket-fort fanatics, and young Leonardo da Vincis! This week we will be doing all kinds of 3D art activities. Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside.
  • July 30 – Aug 3: Building & Sculpting (ages 9 – 13) Future architects and artists alike will enjoy a week of building and sculpting to their hearts’ content. Campers will participate in a number of 3D art activities that challenge their imaginations and encourage creativity. Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside.
  • Aug 7 – Aug 10: All About Me! (short week) Join us for a week of art activities that will help campers build upon their sense of self and celebrate everything that makes them unique. Be ready to bring home fridge-worthy self-portraits and art pieces. Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside.
  • Aug 13 – 17: Mini Makers This week is all about making. Campers will enjoy design challenge projects and use tools including our 3D Doodlers. Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside.
  • Aug 13 – 17: Maker Movement (ages 9 – 13) Join the maker movement! This week we will partake in design challenge projects as well as explore the equipment housed in TRG’s MakerLab (including the 3D Doodlers, laser cutter, and paper-rocket launcher). Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside.
  • Aug 20 – 24: Time Travellers Let’s travel through space and time! Campers will participate in art activities from several points in time (past, present, and future). Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside.
  • Aug 20 – 24: Art through the Ages (ages 9 – 13) Join us for a week of artistic exploration through the past, and into the future. Campers will participate in art activities inspired by the artistic styles of decades past, and by the camper’s predictions of the future. Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside.
  • Aug 27 – 31: Fantastic Worlds Dive into an underwater wonderland or take a rocket ship to mars! This week of camp will take campers to new and unexplored worlds, from which our creative activities will be inspired. Bring your lunch and snacks (no nuts please) as well as clothing appropriate for making art and playing outside.
 

*Sibling discount for Creativity Camps

If you are registering two or more siblings living from the same household in the same camp, the second child and any additional siblings will receive a $10 discount on their registration fee(s).

This discount would be on top of a  10% members’ discount.  If you would like to take advantage of this program, please register in person or over the phone, as our online system is unable to process the discount.  Thank you.

Refund Policy

Two Rivers Gallery allows withdrawal from Creativity Camp with a full refund for registration (less a $25 administration fee per registration) up until 4 weeks before the camp date start, after which a refund of 50% of registration fees will be issued. NO refund will be given within 7 days of camp start, unless a doctor’s note is received.
