The Capturing Joy Project

Rustad Galleria – August 3rd to September 10th, 2017

Curated by Bobbi Carpino

The Capturing Joy Project, developed by Prince George photographer, Bobbi Carpino, is a camera phone workshop that intends to encourage people to be mindful of the joy inherent in their everyday lives. Carpino’s idea for the project emerged after the loss of a loved one. Looking for a way to cope, Carpino turned to photography, a medium that has helped her work through personal hardships in the past. Having experienced the positive effects of documenting moments of joy in her own life, Carpino developed a workshop that would help others to do the same. This exhibition features photographs taken by recent workshop participants.
